I found a new snack in the grocery store about a month ago. I don’t know for sure if it’s new on the market or not but I’d never seen it before so that makes it new for me. Herr’s makes this snack and it’s called Hulless Puff’n Corn.
From the bag – “Tiny, tender, delicious!”
The bag is 100% correct in calling this product tender. If you let one of these sit on your tongue for a minute it just about melts in your mouth. To me this is a perfect combination of texture and taste. The taste is buttery and salty, like some popcorn. This is a baked snack, not fried. It’s texture is similar to that of original cheese doodle (not the crunchy kind) except it’s softer.
If you like crunchy snacks, salty snacks or cheese doodles you should check these out. Herr’s Hulless Puff’n Corn comes in a 7.5 ounce bag that’s got a stamped retail price of $2.19. I have only seen it in regular and cheese flavors. I haven’t tried the cheese flavor yet. I was unable to locate this product on the Herr’s site to confirm geographic availability. I have only seen this product at some of our area retailers and grocery stores.
