TJ loves mac and cheese. Don’t all kids? It’s one of about six foods that he could probably live on. Kraft tops our list when it comes to mac and cheese, there’s something about their sauce that’s so much nicer than powdered sauce mac & cheese. Maybe it’s because it’s easier to make. No little orange chunks left after stirring, you know? Maybe because it’s got a whole different flavor? No grit and no chunks. Whatever it is, it’s terrific. Recently Kraft introduced Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese Dinner in three varieties and we were fortunate enough to be able to try them.
ABOUT KRAFT HOMESTYLE MACARONI & CHEESE DINNER
No longer is Macaroni & Cheese jsut for the kids. The entire family will enjoy the rich & creamy real Kraft cheese sauce, oversized noodles and a crunchy breadcrumb topping.
Hearty Four Cheese – With parmesan, asiago, colby and cheddar, you’ll get a quadruple kick of your favorite cheeses working together in perfect delectable harmony.
Classic Cheddar – Open wide for this rich and creamy cheddar goodness packed with a delicious homemade taste.
Old World Italian – Tender macaroni blended with the Old World Italian charm of Parmesan and Romano cheeses.
MY THOUGHTS
I received samples of each of the three flavors of Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese Dinner. The 12.6 ounce dinners are super easy to make, they’re ready in under 20 minutes. You boil the pasta, and while doing that you mix the cheese sauce with seasoning and butter. You can top with the included breadcrumbs if you like. That’s it. The resulting dish is tasty, the mac and cheese is very smooth and extremely cheesy. We skip the bredcrumb topping in our house, we just prefer it without it. TJ’s favorite was the Classic Cheddar. My favorite is the Old World Italian. RB was torn between the Old World Italian and the Four Cheese but in the end the Old world Italian won his vote for favorite. These dinners are great as sides, or you could combine them with other ingredients to make a complete meal.
Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese Dinner is available in grocery stores, club stores and mass merchandisers nationwide and has a suggested retail price of $2.99 per package.

Ymmm, I didn't realize they had more than just regular Mac N Cheese. The Old world Italian sounds so tasty.

Yes, they have a number of varieties, all using the soft cheese you're probably familiar with. Tasty!

I used to make my own until the ingredients got so costly I decided to go with a box.
