Scary statistic. Childhood obesity has doubled in the past 30 years and it’s estimated that 1 in 5 children in the US is overweight. Wow! CJ participates in sports with Special Olympics. As he does have some issues with exertion and heat, I was intrigued when offered the opportunity to try KIDStrong.
About KIDStrong – KIDStrong Hydration Beverages are scientifically formulated for kids’ hydration and energy and provide a healthful alternative to high glycemic index, sugar-based soft drinks that promote childhood obesity. KIDStrong products are completely all natural, contain no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners, and are preservative-free. KIDStrong Hydration Beverages are low in sugar, consist of a low glycemic index carbohydrate blend, have an optimal electrolyte profile, and are power-packed with 22 vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.
KIDStrong is available in Orange and Grape flavors. We received samples of both. They are similar to sports beverages you may have tried but taste just slightly different. That may (or may not) be because they are formulated just for hydrating kids and have 22 vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. We liked them much better cold than at room temperature. I appreciated knowing that these drinks are all natural and are low in sugar and contain no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners and had no preservatives. I would like to see a couple more flavors become available.
KIDStrong can be found in many supermarkets nationwide including A&P, Foodtown, Giant, Pathmark and Stop & Shop.

Sounds like a great beverage for kids. My grand daughter would probably like this beverage. Especially during the spring and summer months when it heats up. I'll have to check to see if this item is available where I live, if not. I can always purchase some online. Thanks! Valerie.
