MY THOUGHTS

I received a copy of the Family Circle Healthy Family Dinners cookbook. Chapters include Main Dish Salads, Pasta, Grains, Vegetarian, Chicken & Turkey, meat, Fish, Grilling, Slow Cooker, and Desserts. This cookbook contains more than 200 recipes, and there’s a table of contents at the beginning of each chapter. There’s a colorful picture on every other page,, meaning not all recipes have their own photo. I wish each recipe had one. Recipes are easy to understand, and include both cooking and prep time. There were a few ingredients I wasn’t familiar with, such as soba noodles, but for the most part the ingredients weren’t unusual. Some of the recipes that I’m most looking forward to trying include Warm Sweet & Savory Pasta Salad, Penne With Sausage & Peas, Chicken & Broccolini Aglio E Olio, Risotto With Sugar Snap Peas & Ham, Quick Pork Schnitzel, Grilled Turkey Caprese, Cassoulet, Pork Roast With Peach Sauce, and Strawberry Sorbet. There are a lot of recipes in this book and the book is very user friendly, making it a great choice for any kitchen. A one year subscription to Family Circle Magazine is included with the purchase of the cookbook, making it an even greater value.

I wish more cookbook recipes would have less expensive ingredients that are not commonly used.

Agreed. I love it when recipes call for regular items that can be found in any grocery store.

Before I would buy this, I would want to page through this to see if the recipes are something that my family would eat. As for getting the magazine free for a year, I would think that is included in the price.
