Recipes are easy to understand. Many of the ingredients are ones you are familiar with but there are some that you may have to visit a specialty store for. This cookbook contains no pictures, which is what is the biggest downfall for me. If I were wanting to try cooking recipes from a culture or background other then my own I’d surely want to know what that dish would and should look like. the cookbook also doesn’t contain prep and cooking time, which is one of the criteria I use to determine what I’m making. there are tips, stories and interesting pieces of background scattered throughout the book.
