Recently Reser’s Fine Foods makes a line of refrigerated baked dinners and side dishes that are already fully baked, and only need to be heated before serving. I love having some things that only have to be heated, they’re a big time saver on those crazy busy days where you’re making a quick dinner, a meal on the fly, or just need to have something in the house that someone can quickly make. I was happy to have the opportunity to try some of these Main St. Bistro items.

Resers Main St. Bistro Baked Dinners are available in four varieties:

• Pasta Alfredo w/ White Chicken & Bacon
• Three Cheese Rigatoni Bolognese
• Penne Toscana w/ Italian Sausage
• Pasta Florentine with White Chicken

We tried the Pasta Alfredo With White Chicken & Bacon. The Pasta Alfredo w/ White Chicken & Bacon was delicious, very creamy with a hint of smoky bacon over the chicken.

We also tried the the Penne Toscana With Italian Sausage and. The flavor of the sauce rivaled that of a good homemade sauce and was better then many restaurant sauces that I’ve had.

We also tried some of Resers Main St. Bistro Baked Sides.

Resers Main St. Bistro Baked Sides are also available in four varieties:

• Zesty Au Gratin Potatoes
• Baked Hash Brown Casserole
• Baked Mac & Cheese
• Baked Scalloped Potatoes

Reser’s Main St Bistro Baked Mac & Cheese tasted like some of the homemade macaroni and cheese dishes that I’ve had. I liked that the pasta wasn’t too soft. The cheddar cheese sauce was very tasty, as good as some homemade that I’ve had, and as even golden brown on top like homemade.

Reser’s Main St Bistro Baked Scalloped Potatoes have a combination of Cheddar, Parmesan And Romano Cheeses. The potatoes weren’t too hard of too soft. There was plenty of cheesy, gooey, tasty sauce too.

Reser’s Main St. Bistro items prove the point that tasty food can be made quickly. These meals and sides look and taste homemade, despite the fact that you heat them in the microwave. I love that these dinners only took 5 minutes to make, that’s very convenient. The only downside for us was size, these ere so good that everyone wanted more so we’d need several trays to serve at one meal.

Main St. Bistro products are currently sold in many national grocery chains, independent retail outlets, club stores, and convenience stores in 50 states and across Canada.
