We’ve had beef stroganoff for years. It’s a favorite. We usually make an alternative version using ground beef because it’s less expensive. I thought it might be tasty to alter my recipe a bit and make a ranch stroganoff. A numer of times if I am making beef stroganoff I will use one of a number of different pastas. For this one I decided to use egg noodles, they are one of my favorites and I just like their texture and the way they absorb flavor. I loved the finished dish, it was just a bit different than our usual. My oldest really enjoyed it as well. Here’s how I made it.
Ranch Beef Stroganoff
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup onion dip
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2x 1 oz packets ranch dressing
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Boil the noodles according to the instructions on the package.
While the pasta is cooking, brown the ground beef.
Drain the noodles and return to the pot.
Add the onion dip, sour cream and ranch dressing mix and stir well.
Add the shredded cheese.
