Fall is coming! For me it’s a favorite time of the year. Cooler, milder weather means it’s time soup and comfort food season! This time of the year also means a return to hectic family schedules, making an appliance like an electric pressure cooker a more useful tool than ever. The Sharff & Mueller Duopro Plus is a 6 quart electric pressure cooker. This smart electric pressure cooker was engineered and designed in Canada by professional chefs, and has passed both UL and ULC certifications to help provide you with peace of mind when it comes to safety. The Duopro Plus has an embedded microprocessor that handles pressure, temperature, time and heat.

The Duopro Plus has numerous different cooking modes built in, including:

  • Soup/Broth
  • Bean/Chili
  • Meat/Stew
  • Poultry
  • Multigrain
  • Sterilize
  • Yogurt
  • Saute
  • Slow Cook
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • manual mode.

Here’s a video containing photos from the unboxing of the Duopro Plus.

The exterior of this pressure cooker has a brushed stainless steel finish, providing a classic look that goes with many types of decor as well as a finish that’s easy to clean. The 6 quart inner pot that you cook in is made of 3-ply stainless steel. The inner pot and the lid are dishwasher safe.

The Duopro Plus is controlled through its touch panel. In addition to cooking anytime you like, you can also take advantage of the 24-hour timer that enables delayed cooking. Once food has finished cooking, the automatic keep warm function will hold your food’s temperature for up to 12 hours until you’re ready to serve. The control panel also includes a pressure release button.

The Sharff & Mueller Duopro Plus has a 2-year warranty. It comes with a number of additional items including glass lid, steaming rack, rice paddle, soup spoon, cup, and free recipe book.

I love cooking with an electric pressure cooker because it’s quick and convenient, and because it doesn’t heat up the kitchen like a stove or oven. I found the Duopro Plus to work exactly as an electric pressure cooker should.I wish they had had one of these back when my boys were small. I spent many hours boiling baby bottles to sterilize them. The Duopro Plus makes easy work of this, you can put the bottles in and set it and walk away to do other things. If you don’t need to sterilize bottles, you can use the feature for canning too!

Sharff & Müeller Duopro Plus Electric Pressure Cooker

I LOVE the pressure release button on the control panel of the Duopro Plus. This is the first electric pressure cooker I’ve had that has this feature. It’s not difficult to do a quick pressure release manually but it is so convenient not having to think about what to grab to use to release pressure without burning your hands. Plus, some folks just find a manual pressure release a bit intimidating. Folks that prefer to avoid nonstick surfaces will love the stainless steel inner pot. Folks that struggle to read red numbers and letters clearly will appreciate the bright white lights. Knowing the unit has a 2-year warranty provides peace of mind, considering other units at a similar or higher price have a considerably shorter warranty.

You can learn more about this and other products on the Sharff & Mueller website. You can purchase the Duopro Plus on Amazon.

Here’s one of the recipes I’ve made using the Sharff & Mueller Duopro Plus electric pressure cooker. Be sure to stay tuned for more of them!

I have to admit I’ve never used a slow cooker but it does look like you can make some absolutely delicious meals with it. This one, in particular, looks incredible and I need to try it.

i am right behind you about loving this weather because of the food you can cook. This looks really tasty, but one I’d have to remove the cheese from if I had it with my boyfriend as he’s strange and doesn’t like cheese x
