In case you haven’t noticed, I am a big fan of one-pot meals. They’re great on the stove, but I really love using my Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking system because it doesn’t heat up the house and it cooks faster. The great thing about making this as a one-pot dish is that the pasta absorbs the sauce, giving it an extra boost of flavor. My youngest loved it and had twos servings each night until it was gone. Here’s how I made it.
One-Pot Gluten-free Penne With Ground Beef
Ingredients
- 12 oz box gluten-free penne pasta (I used Ronzoni)
- 3/4 lb ground beef
- 4 oz shredded mozzarella
- 24 oz jar gluten-free meat sauce (I used Barilla)
- 24 oz water
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Set Ninja to stovetop high.
Brown the ground beef until no longer red, and it is cooked almost all of the way through.
Add the penne, meat sauce and 24 oz water (I used the empty jar) to the Ninja.
Stir and make sure all pasta is covered with liquid.
Cook for about 10 minutes.
Switch Ninja to oven 350.
Cook for 15 minutes.
During last 1-2 minutes add the shredded cheese and stir until cheese is melting.
Serve immediately with salt and pepper to taste.
