Rice is a favorite around here to be sure, as is cheese. It’s so versatile and economical. This was a big hit with the hubby. It’s really easy to make in the Ninja. It’s very filling and warms your belly on a cold evening. Here’s how I made it.
Chicken Broccoli Rice
Equipment used
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 lbs chicken, cubed
- 1.5 cups white rice
- 1 can cream of chicken & herb condensed soup
- 4 oz Velveeta cheese
- 2 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 16 oz bag frozen chopped broccoli
- salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Set Ninja to stovetop high.
Place a little olive oil into the Ninja and brown the chicken.
Add the rice, condensed soup, broccoli and cheeses.
Cook for 30 minutes.
Serve immediately with salt and pepper to taste.

That really dies sound like a dish I would love and easy to make at least if I owned that Ninja!! I love that you use ingredients right out of the freezer or a can–makes life so much easier.
Thanks I so need a recipe for tonight. I have not heard of the Ninja cooking system but would it work with a pressure cooker?
Oh my gosh this has my mouth watering! Looks and sound so good and easy. May have to try this!
I like the name “Ninja chicken”. Looks good to eat for a cold weather day.

As the days get colder, it really helps to have dishes like this that fill the stomach and warm the body.
Rice–it’s the cooking that I hate.
Yum! This looks so delicious . . . and simple! Best combination!
This looks pretty delicious. Warm, comfort food! I like the simplicity of the recipe. Means I’m more likely to make it! Haha 🙂
Do you add the rice uncooked?
Yes that is correct, add the rice uncooked.
How much rice?
Should be 1.5 cups.
Thank you! Looking forward to making this tonight.
Did you add water
No, I didn’t add water.
When you say cook for 30 minutes, what setting did you cook it on?
That recipe was made on the stovetop high setting.
