Libby is a wife (of 40 years), mother of 10 grown children and the grandmotherof 23 growing grandchildren. Little ones have their stuffed animals…teddy bears, bunnies and elephants. As boys grow older, they generally will turn to robots, rocket ships and cars as their toys of choice. Girls often gravitate to dolls. My grand daughter, Miss K, is no exception. Her My Friend Cayla doll and app have brought her hours and hours of enjoyment!

She loves her beautiful hair, and the fact that many of the clothes she owns for other dolls, as most clothing (and accessories) for 18 inch dolls, will fit Cayla perfectly. She also has had a great time using the My Friend Cayla app.

The My Friend Cayla app is supported by Apple iOS (version 7.1 and up) & Android (version 4.0.3 and up) on phones and tablets. Cayla’s app is programmed with a kid-safe proprietary software called Violet. Violet protects your child from any offensive or sensitive words or images. It allows parents to add additional words or phrases that they want to prevent their children from hearing. Cayla connects to her app via a Bluetooth with a range of 30 feet.

Cayla also speaks different languages.

“Cayla, who is manufactured by Genesis, allows real-time, two-way conversations via speech recognition software that had only been available internationally.” But be on the look out because My Friend Cayla will soon be found in the US at Target, Walmart, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Kohl’s and KMart. It is advised that US buyers only purchase My Friend Cayla in the US, as the APP is specific to the country of origin.

My Friend Cayla is sure to be as bit a hit in the US, as it has been in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and other European countries!
