No compensation or product was received for this post. I did this post because I felt it would be interesting, because I love music, and because I like the song.
Today over on my main blog, Mom Knows It All, I published the next installment in the Music Monday series. Today I published a feature on the song “False Alarm” by the band Smile Empty Soul. I asked the guys in Smile Empty Soul what their favorite foods were, because you know I am just fascinated with what people eat, especially musicians that are out on the road all the time. Some of the answers this week surprised me!
In no particular order, they are:
- Panang Curry
- Corn Beef Hash
- Fried Catfish
- Tabouli
- Baby back ribs
- Raw veggie/fruit smoothies (nutri-bullet)
Aside from the ribs, I was at a loss this time, so I asked some of my blogger friends if they could help me out. Here are some recipes, which I am sharing with permission.
Sweet Bacon Spare Ribs From Val’s Kitchen
Coconut Chicken Curry from The Kids Are Grown, Now What?
Chicken Quinoa Tabbouleh from Raised By Culture
Perfectly Pink Fruit Smoothie from Jenn’s RAQ
Easy Green Smoothie from Jenn’s RAQ
Tropical Green Smoothie from Turning The Clock Back
Homemade Fruit and Veggie Juice from Mommy Moment
I love to have music playing while I’m cooking. So here’s the song “False Alarm” that I wrote about in my post. There is no explicit language. Turn it up and cook something!
Smile Empty Soul’s new album “Chemicals” dropped on 10/01/13. I’ve heard a couple of songs in entirety, and samples of the rest, and am looking forward to picking it up shortly.
A big thanks to Smile Empty Soul for taking the time to answer my question. Smile Empty Soul is currently on tour, you can find tour dates on their website and on Facebook.
