A while back I took my son and five of his friends (all boys) to see a movie. We sat together about halfway down the theater and to the right. The boys picked the seats. The boys were, well, they were boys, and behaving like boys sometimes do. Some of my son’s friends were whispering and giggling. Even though they were trying to do so quietly I found myself distracted and looking around the theater. The first thing I got to wondering was how some people can be so messy in the movie theater, and why they put carpet in there at all. We’re not far from the city, maybe they should look into getting a carpet cleaning nyc specialist.
I glanced towards the back of the theater and I saw an lcd scrolling screen that contained the dialogue. It appeared backwards from where we were sitting. In a way it sort of reminded me of a teleprompter. I’d never noticed it before, at first I wondered if it had anything to do with subtitles. But then I decided it it wasn’t that. My final thought was that it was some type of closed caption device. I wasn’t able to get a picture of it and haven’t seen a picture like it yet when searching. So does anyone know what that screen that we saw was?
