REVIEW – MEG21 Skincare

By now you may have guessed that I love to try new beauty products! MEG21 is a brand new skincare line that was developed by Dr. Annette Tobia who holds a PH.D. in cellular biology. These products were previously only available in Dermatologist offices or Spas, but have just been introduced directly to the consumer!

The bottom line about this skincare line is the way it works. I have tried many, many different brands and types of products, but this is the first time I have come across  any products that work the way MEG21 does. These products all contain Supplamine, which is the only skincare product that is clinically proven to block toxic sugar, which reverses the aging of skin in 14 days!

The science behind MEG21 is proven in numerous clinical trials, which can be downloaded from the MEG21 website. As a Nurse Educator, I was very impressed!

Here is what I tried:

Smooth Radiance Advanced Formula

This advanced formula was designed specifically for the harder to treat areas of the neck, upper arms and chest area. I like that it is still gentle enough to use on your face! The correct dose is dispensed with a pump on the jar, which is very convenient. It is allergy tested and good for all skin types.

These are the key ingredients in the Smooth Radiance Advanced Formula:

• Supplamine: Patented ingredient to intercept and reverse glycation, inflammation and metabolic oxidation caused by 3DG sugars in the skin
• Jojoba Oil  – Emolliency similar to natural oil structure produced by the skin
• Evening Primrose  – Clears pathway to allow barrier penetration
• Squalene – Hydrates by increasing natural moisture within the skin
• Vitamin E   – Healing antioxidant
• Aloe  – Natural anti-irritant to reduce inflammation
• Shea Butter – natural antioxidant rich emollient
• Green Tea – potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory

There was no noticeable scent, the formula was white and creamy. It felt very moisturizing going on. I used it morning and night and did begin to notice a smoother and softer appearance on my face and neck.

Moisturizing Cleanser

The cleanser is a blend of gentle cleansers and botanicals which lift away dirt, unclog pores and make your skin soft and hydrated. It is safe for all skin types, is non-irritating and again, has a great little pump that gives you just the right amount. It also has Supplamine in it.

Other key ingredients are:

• Glycerin – substance found naturally in skin that attracts and retains moisture to help maintain barrier function
• Soap Bark Extract – a natural lipophilic surfactant with deep cleansing, anti-acneic, anti-inflammatory and benefits
• Bilberry Leaf Extract – source of flavonoids and antioxidant

This cleanser was silky to the touch and had a gentle, moisturizing lather. My skin felt  very clean and refreshed, but not tight or dry.

Top of the Hand Treatment

Unfortunately, the tops of our hands tend to age faster than other parts of our bodies. Our hands are constantly in water and exposed to the wind, sun, and even harsh detergents. It is where we first see age spots. At 54, I have have some already and my hands look much older than my face. This was probably my favorite product of the MEG21 line. It is also allergy tested and perfect for all skin types. It is super moisturizing and absorbs quickly. It can be used not only on your hands, but on the rough skin of elbows, knees and feet.

Here are the key ingredients:

• Supplamine: Patented ingredient to intercept and reverse glycation, inflammation and metabolic oxidation caused by 3DG sugars in the skin
• Cocoa Seed Butter – emollient rich source of antioxidants
• Jojoba Oil – Emolliency similar to natural oil structure produced by the skin
• Evening Primrose Oil – Clears pathway to allow barrier penetration; natural skin softener and conditioner
• Vitamin E – Healing Antioxidant
• Aloe Leaf Extract – Natural anti-irritant to reduce inflammation
• Lemon Peel Extract – skin conditioner and tyrosinase inhibitor
• Shea Butter – natural antioxidant rich emollient

I keep this on my nightstand and rub it into my hands before bed each night. My hands are looking a bit smoother and the age spots may have faded a little bit. I need to keep using it for a more dramatic result!
