Synopsis: Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, the original fallen angel, Lucifer Morningstar has abandoned his throne and retired to L.A., where he owns Lux, an upscale nightclub.

In all honesty, I did not even know this show was on FOX its first season. When I heard about it I just had to see what it was all about. Then I saw that it is coming back to FOX on September 19th and so my husband and I started watching season one. I am so pleased with the series already.

I have already had quite a few laughs and have jumped a few times also. In this series Tom Ellis plays the wonderful Lucifer Morningstar. I didn’t realize at first that this character was adapted from the DC comics Lucifer series so I did find that was interesting.

It is the year 2016 and Lucifer Morningstar decides to take a vacation to the lovely Los Angeles. He is invincible to pain, can turn on his devilish eyes when he gets mad and yet be so easy to love. He is definitely great to look at and his charm is obvious. There are times that the set up of the show reminds me of the “Mentalist”. This is only because ‘Lucifer’ seems to become a consultant to the police department (whether the police department likes it or not) just like Patrick Jane was to the CBI. The personalities of Lucifer and Patrick Jane remind me of each other. Otherwise, the shows cannot be compared.

I also enjoy the chemistry between Lucifer and Chloe Decker. Chloe is a detective for the police department and although she doesn’t fall into Lucifer’s outright flirting, you can tell she is intrigued by who he is. He is never afraid to tell someone that he is Lucifer Morningside from hell. But the fact of the matter is no one believes him.

If you haven’t watched Season 1, get it now so you are ready to start Season 2 on September 19! A great storyline and some laughs are in store for you!

This is one of our favorite shows. We watched it when it was on TV and can't wait for season two to start.
