REVIEW – Little Tikes Cozy Coupe Sport Ride On Toy

We had the opportunity to review the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe Sport. This is a riding toy that converts from a toy that parents push to a ride on toy that is powered by the child’s feet. There is no need for actual tools to assemble the toy. I opened the box and realized there was a lot of pieces so I enlisted my husband to snap things together.

The front two wheels spin 360 degrees. A gray overmold cap tool is included to help putting on the back tires. The whole car is made of nice sturdy plastic that seems like it will hold up for a long time. There are step by step directions on how to put the coupe together that also let you know where to put stickers. Let the fun begin! The assembly took about 30 minutes total to put together, which isn’t too bad considering the number of parts there were. We had a little trouble with the front tires snapping into places, but we did eventually got them in.


The attention to detail is absolutely adorable. You have the license plate, rear lights, front head lights, sideview mirrors, navigation, and speed gauges, which are all nice graphic stickers. There is a push button starter and a squeaky horn. The roof is sort of like a big moon roof, which is nice because it lets the parent look at their child. There is a removable floor covering that has gas and brake pedals for the smaller kids who can’t push themselves yet. When you remove the floor older children can power themselves with their feet. There are very nice locks on both doors so that little ones don’t lean on the doors and fall out. The plastic that the doors are made out of are a little thinner than the rest of the coupe.

There is a nice parent or child cup holder in the back. Plus, my favorite part – a parent push bar that can be used once you’re finished using it that makes it fold down into the rear window frame.


The tires are made with a quiet design and come with rims and a little red sticker to pull the whole look together. The coup has a nice compact size and is a more modern version of the ones that they had out when my older kids were young.

We first put BG into the car and he absolutely loved it. We realized quickly he was too little for it so we had his big sister R help try it out. As soon as she saw the coupe we got “oooo” she loved it. She started running around it checking out the doors, pushing it with the parent handle, and getting in and out of it. Our horn doesn’t make much of a squeaky noise but she tried it as well as the push button start. I would a bit nervous that a 1 1/2 yr old that might try climbing out of it while someone is pushing it. It would be great if a seatbelt could somehow be included as an optional accessory. Overall we absolutely love it.
The weight limit for the Cozy Coupe Sport is up to 50 lbs. It is adorable and we can’t wait for the weather to get warmer so we can go for walks with it around the neighborhood.
