Some of the paperwork I’ve been keeping at home has gotten a bit out of control. It took me more than 30 minutes to find something last night. That started me going through papers. I threw some out but need to organize the rest. I came up with a new plan of attack this morning while browsing the Buy.com sale page.
I have a scanner. I thought about scanning my documents onto the computer but didn’t want to use up a ton of space on the hard drive and then have to move them to the next computer next time I upgrade. I decided that I’m going to get a large flash drive and scan the documents onto there. That way I can access my files from this computer or future ones.

This drive is really light, weighing in at 0.064 oz. I think 16 GB is huge for such a tiny drive. It can hold documents, photos and music. The drive is plug and play and requires no downloads or installation to work, just plug it into a USB port and it should be good to go.

I have to admit that we moved into our apartment over 2 years ago. I had a box labeled, "things that ought to be filed Ms Lazybones" and it is still sitting in our office, unopened and unfiled. I'm a bit nervous to go in there and see what's in that box. So maybe I need a system that will actually make me use the filing system I currently have in place?
