Tips

  • If you’re not a huge fan of garlic or onion flavors, simply reduce the onion and garlic powder by half.
  • If you want to add a spicy kick, add a ½ teaspoon of crushed red pepper.
  • Like a touch of sweetness? Add a teaspoon of sugar.
  • If you are used to using taco seasoning packets, 3-4 tablespoons of this mixture is approximately what is in one packet, depending on the brand you use. You can always start with 2 Tablespoons and add for your preferences.
  • Once you’ve used the seasoning, you can adjust the spices to match your tastes.
  • It’s easier to add flavor than it is to remove it.
  • Be aware that chili powders vary depending on the country they originate from. Each one varies in spices and can drastically change the flavor of your seasoning.
  • if you add a bit of cornstarch to your meat when using this seasoning it will help the flavor to really stick to the meat, which boosts the overall flavor of the dish.
