I’ve always tried to put a lot of thought into the gifts I give. Whether a gift will be appreciated and used are the first things I consider when shopping. Some men are challenging to shop for. Short of the guy who loves dressing up in suits and ties, there are many men who just aren’t into receiving fancy clothing. For these men it’s important to find a special gift. Man Crates offers crates containing things that men really love.
We believe gifts should be exciting, nay, unforgettable! Giving gifts should be as fun as receiving them, and honestly, we’ve never gotten giddy handing some poor sap a necktie in a shiny box.
Our mission is to make awesome gifts that guys actually want, gifts that reek of excitement and bring people together. We’re in the business of making memories with a hint of mischief.
We are Man Crates, and we make awesome gifts guys love.

I wanted to share Man Crates with you while there’s still time to order before Christmas. I am really looking forward to using my new skillets. I know seasoning a cast iron skillet is very important. I need time to read up on that and get it done. This means I don’t have a new recipe for you in one of these skillets, but I do have a recipe you can make in any cast iron skillet to share.
Sweet Potato And Turkey Sausage Skillet is a simple but flavorful one-pan dish that only requires 5 ingredients. This naturally gluten-free meal is a great way to replace a more traditional starch with a tsty food that contains fiber, vitamins and minerals. This easy recipe is perfect for busy days and cooler nights. Here’s how to make it.
Sweet Potato And Turkey Sausage Skillet
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 20-25 minutes
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lb ground turkey sausage
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1x 12oz. bag frozen broccoli florets
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- sea salt and black pepper, to taste
Heat the olive oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium heat.
Add the turkey sausage to the skillet, seasoning it with sea salt and black pepper, if desired.
Cook the sausage until it is slightly browned and no longer pink, around 6-8 minutes, stirring it occasionally.
While you are cooking the sausage, break it up into small chunks with the spatula.
Add the sweet potatoes to the skillet and continue cooking until they become soft and slightly crisp around the edges, approximately 10-12 minutes.
Add the broccoli to the skillet and stir to combine.
Place a cookie sheet on top of the skillet to cover it.
Let the broccoli to steam for 2-3 minutes.
Remove the cookie sheet from the top of the skillet.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the contents of the skillet.
Recover the skillet with the cookie sheet for another 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is nicely melted.
Remove the skillet from the heat.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
