Wonsters Words: Spelling with Phonics!
Is your child learning ABC? Is your kid sounding out words with phonics? Does your kid like silly videos? If so, download FREE today!
Help your kid learn phonics and grow his vocabulary! By playing with silly letter ghosts and hilarious wonsters, Wonster Words will help your kid learn how to spell and sound out new words by learning: phonics, consonant blends, word families, diphthongs, digrahs, and more. Kids will have a blast putting together words through interactive spelling puzzles, letter hide-and-seek, and other engaging mini-games.
Once the words are completed, your child will enjoy cute animations head-lined by the lovable wonsters. These animations will further reinforce the meaning of the words that he had just learnt. Before you know it, your child will be spelling and sounding out words like a champ!

I downloaded Wonster Words. The app was created with children ages 3 to 6 in mind. The app is free to play, but there are in-app purchases available such as a full unlock which costs $14.99. Once you open the app you are presented with different game choices. To open a game you click on the photo.

Some areas in the game are ready to play while others need to be downloaded (simple one-click action).
Once you’ve opened one game (clicked on one card) you’ll see what’s available to play within that game. Each of the different parts of a game are related to the keyword from the original selection you made. So for example, if you choose Birthday Surprise 3 you’ll see games for present, slip, closet, hurry and so forth. Each of those relates to a continuing theme.

Inside the spelling games you must drag the letter to its correct spot in the word. Once you’ve successfully done this, you can also play with things in the screen.
For example, after spelling cat, the player can do all sorts of things with the cat like bathe it, dress it and play with it.To exit an area you slide the exit button in the corner across.
The words get more difficult as you go along, keeping the game challenging.
Not only do the words get more difficult, so do the games. It’s more challenging and more fun to have to find the letter you have to insert. In the case of closet, you have to pop all of the balloons to ind the letters needed to spell closet.
Wonster Words is a fun app. It offers a high replay value. I’ve always believed that people learn more as well as learn better when learning is fun. This app is fun and will engage children for hours. While they are having fun, the app will be helping teach or enhance learning skills as well as the concepts of spelling, phonics, letter and word recognition, and much more. Without the pressure of time limits or scores to worry about, kids are free to learn and practice at their own pace.

Wonster Words has won numerous awards, including Children’s Technology Review, Parent’s Choice, NAPPA, and others. It comes with many free words, along with FREE daily “words of the day”! More words are available through parent-gated in-app-purchase. With monthly update more words are becoming available all the time! Give Wonster Words a try today.

Making learning fun is the best way to help kids of all ages. I can see that this is a fantastic program and I'm very impressed by the awards they have received so far. Kudos!

I wonder why phonics is not taught as much any more. It is the way most of us oldsters learned--and we didn't have a fun type game to help it along!
