I was not, and have never been, someone that’s particularly adept at doing my own makeup. I am not great at bring creative with color. I am not great at knowing exactly what to apply specifically where. My Mom was never really been into wearing makeup much so she wan’t of much help. So in the early 80s, when the time came for me to get ready for a prom, my Mom took me to an expert to help me get ready. She took me to a store in our mall called Merle Norman. There are many things about those years that I don’t recall, but I do recall being super impressed with the mini makeover that the lady at Merle Norman gave me, how much knowledge she had and how good she made me feel when I looked into the mirror. And, after she explained the products and did my makeover we had the opportunity to buy those same products. It was a good day and a great memory.
Fast forward 40 years to present day and Merle Norman is still considered one of the top brands when it comes to quality cosmetics. Not only are they still around, they’re celebrating their 90th anniversary! That’s something worth celebrating! Just in time for the holidays, Merle Norman has released their Legendary Collection. I received some samples from this collection and am looking forward to trying to recreate a great memory from my younger days.
