I love garlic bread. A lot. I love it with lots of ooey, gooey mozzarella cheese. I also love it with some fresh sliced tomatoes on there too. It’s ridiculously easy to make and will have disappeared long before the oven you made it in cools off. here’s how I make it.
Garlic Bread With Tomato And Mozzarella
Ingredients
- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 4-8 oz shredded and/or sliced mozzarella cheese
- 1 sliced tomato (the larger the loaf of bread the larger the tomato you’ll need)
- butter (soft or spreadable is easiest to use)
- garlic powder
- parsley flakes
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 f.
Slice the loaf of bread in half.
Generously butter the bread.
Sprinkle the garlic powder liberally. The more garlic flavor you like the more you sprinkle.
Place the sliced tomatoes on the bread.
Cover everything with the mozzarella.
Sprinkle a bit of parsley flakes on the top.

Bake for about 15 minutes until the bread crust and edges are getting crispy and the cheese is melting.
Serve immediately.

This is one of my big weaknesses! Adding the cheese does not help my weakness at all. It looks fantastic.
