Easy Pressure Cooker Cinnamon Roll Cake

Freshly made cinnamon rolls are so tasty. Sometimes though the size of a cinnamon roll is just too much for some people. After having a touch time separating some cinnamon rolls one day I thought it would be interesting to unroll all of the cinnamon rolls in the tin and then assemble them into one big cinnamon roll cake. Serving cinnamon rolls in cinnamon roll cake form makes it super simple to serve family and guests the exact portion that they want. This cake is so easy to put together. And, by using an electric pressure cooker this recipe is perfect for a quick sweet treat anytime and anywhere, including occasions where the oven is in use or even in a motor home. In summer you can have fresh cinnamon rolls without heating up the house baking in the oven. Here’s how I make Easy Pressure Cooker Cinnamon Roll Cake.

    • Ingredients

      • 1 tin of refrigerated cinnamon rolls (I use tins containing 5 big rolls)
      • 2 cups of water

      Instructions

Plug the electric pressure cooker in.

    • Put 2 cups of water into the bottom of the pot.

Place 4-5 cinnamon rolls into the springform pan. I had sprayed the sides of the pan with nonstick cooking spray just to be safe but in the end none of the cake touched the side of the pan.

Place a paper towel over the cake pan, then cover the cake pan with foil.

Place the pan onto the silicone vegetable steamer and put them both into the pressure cooker.

Put the lid onto the pressure cooker and close to seal.

    • Set the pressure cooker to cook for 10 minutes on manual high pressure.

Let pressure release naturally for 3 minutes then do a quick pressure release.

Remove the cake from the pot using the handles on the vegetable steamer.

    • Remove the cake from the pan.

    • Put the icing onto the rolls.

      Slice and serve immediately.

    • Enjoy!
