Do you enjoy trying new foods and recipes? We’re in a great place for food here at the Jersey Shore. In addition to being influenced by sun, fun, sand and surf, we’re just an hour out of New York City. If you can’t find recipe inspiration there you won’t find it anywhere! Take the NYC Wine & Food Festival Presented By Coca-Cola™, for example. This year it runs from October 12 – 15. I was able to attend this impressive event a few years ago and had such a good time. I was reading up on this years festival and it sounds like it’s going to be a blast. If you’re on the East Coast and haven’t decided to go already let me ask you this. Would you love the opportunity to take center stage with celebrity chef Scott Conant at the Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival’s Grand Tasting sponsored by ShopRite®? Of course you would! Well, you can and I’m going to share how right now.
The Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine and Food Festival presented by Coca-Cola sweepstakes is super easy to enter. All you need to do to enter is text to win. That’s right! Just text the keyword SHOPRITE to the short code 26739 and you’ve entered. That’s it!
The winner will be selected on or around September 18, 2017. The Grand Prize winner will receive travel and lodging for 6, as well as 6 one-day access tickets to the event on 10/15. The winner will have the opportunity to take center stage with celebrity chef Scott Conant at the Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival’s Grand Tasting sponsored by ShopRite (only the winner not their 5 guests).
This is such an exciting opportunity! Any foodie would love to win a fun trip to New York City for the Wine & Food Festival complete with travel and lodging included. Top that off with the unique experience of taking the stage and you have one incredible trip! This sweepstakes is so easy to enter. I’m excited to share this sweepstakes with my readers and would be thrilled to see one of my readers win!
And while ShopRite is on my mind, there’s two more things I’d like to share with you today.
The first things I’d like to share is a really nice bundle offer happening at ShopRite right now. Shoppers, you can add a 16oz Coca-Cola™ or 20oz FUZE Fusions® for .50 when you buy a 11.25-11.75 Ready Pac Multi-Serve Salad in a single transaction with your ShopRite PRICE PLUS® Club card between 8/27/17 – 12/31/17. This offer is while supplies last, and taxes and deposits are extra where applicable.

ShopRite’s Ready Pac salads are really convenient. They are already prepared and come ready to serve in a sealed plastic container. In my store, these salads are found in an area near the delicatessen, snack bar and produce department. In my store, if I’m standing at the deli counter I can turn my head and see the aisle containing the case where these prepackaged salads are, as well as some other items that have already been prepared like soup and fried chicken. If your store is like mine, you might also see a Coca-Cola refrigerator nearby, or that might be near your cash registers.
The second thing I’d like to share is a quick and easy recipe idea for you that turns that salad from ShopRite into a family meal. In my ShopRite we can also buy ends of meats and cheeses in the same area of the store as where the salads are. These are perfect for the recipe for Easy Club Ranch Wraps that I’m about to share with you. If you can’t buy ends, just buy about a 1/3 pound each of ham and turkey, making sure they cut it super thick (tell them it’s for salad). Here’s how to make it.

Easy Club Ranch Wraps
This recipe makes four large wraps.
Ingredients
- 4x 10″ wraps
- 11.25 oz Garden Salad from ShopRite
- 1/3 lb ham
- 1/3 lb turkey
- 1/2 cup bacon bits
Instructions

Open the salad and remove the tray containing the cheese, tomatoes and dressing.
Open the dressing, then pour it over the salad and mix well. If you need a little more dressing just add a splash from the bottle in your fridge.
Add the bacon bits to the salad and mix well.
Cut the tomatoes into thirds, then add them to the salad and mix.
Cut the meat ends up into small pieces, then add those to the salad and mix.

Place the wrap onto a plate.
Place one fourth of the salad onto the center of the wrap.
Fold one end of the wrap inward, then take one of the open sides and roll the wrap from one side to the other. Place a toothpick into the wrap to hold it shut.
Repeat with the remaining three wraps and then serve.
That’s it!

This is an easy to prepare and tasty meal! I have to make this too. That was a smart idea to use tortilla wraps in this recipe.

Not a creamy salad dressing fan myself except for blue cheese--would this work with Italian?

I love the idea of using the garden salad in there! I'd totally make something like this for my kids' lunch.
