Whether you’re having a quick snack, family meeting or an intimate gourmet meal, you won’t be disappointed by the many options for dining at Disney World.

Dining At Disney World

Disney World is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the country. If you’ve never been there it’s natural to wonder what options there are for dining at Disney World.

Walt Disney World Resorts aren’t just great places to visit. They are also amazing places to dine. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack, a fun family meal, or an intimate gourmet meal, you won’t be disappointed by the choice and quality of fare that Disney has to offer.

Each resort area in Disney World has a vast selection of dining options. Here’s an overview of some of the different types.

Dining At Disney World - Character dining

A discussion about dining at Disney wouldn’t be complete without mention of the character dining experiences that delight children of all ages. What could be more memorable than enjoying a meal surrounded by Mickey, Donald, Pluto, or maybe even a Disney princess! The character dining experience also allows you to capture some magical photographic memories too.

Each Disney park that you visit has its own map so that you can find your way around. Clearly marked on these maps, and divided into categories are the dining experiences offered to tempt your taste buds.

While a good amount of the food served in Disney World parks is essentially American cuisine, there are other options. The Epcot World Showcase offers the opportunity to experience a vast selection of foods from different countries around the world, including China, Norway, France and Germany to name but a few. The Japanese hibachi dinner is a real treat, adults and children alike find it fascinating to watch the talented chefs prepare a meal with skill and style. have a child that doesn’t want hibachi? No problem, even the kids meals here are fun!

Don’t count out the theme parks for great dining either! Meals at themed resorts are always a good time. The Polynesian keeps my Mom coming back yearly with their banana stuffed Tonga Toast. And their family-style luau never disappoints with its pairing of great entertainment and great food.

While there are a good number of fast food options available, there are a wide variety of other meal options available as well.

Vegetarian are well catered for, as well as guests who have special dietary requirements like meals that are gluten-free, dairy-free, peanut-free and more. Full details of the contents of all meals served on Disney property can be found by simply asking the cast member who takes your order.

You’ll find tons of places to grab a quick snack all over the parks. One of my oldest son’s favorites is a little ice cream shop that serves ice cream in a bowl the size of a child’s head.

Dining at Disneyworld sounds like a fun experience. It’s cool that they offer character dining; I’d love to see that in action.

We’ve been to Disneyworld Florida a number of times and Disneyland Paris but never had Disney dining as we’ve stayed off-site. From the UK there are good deals at certain times of the year where you get the Disney dining free. I’d love to stay at the Boardwalk or the Yacht Club one day and have Disney dining. We’ve eaten at a few Disney locations and the food is usually very good if not expensive
