REVIEW – Crock-Pot Hook Up Connectable Entertaining System

It’s summertime. It’s hot. The last thing that I want to do is heat up the house some more by doing a lot of cooking. But, sometimes you want to make food that requires cooking. Crock-Pot to the rescue! Seriously. I love using a Crock-Pot. They require so little effort and the food you can make in them is so tasty. If you do a lot of entertaining, the Crock-Pot Hook Up Connectable Entertaining System is definitely something you need to look into.

The Crock-Pot Hook Up Connectable Entertaining System is a unique way for you to use up to six Crock-Pot units at once while only using one outlet. And that’s not all! Besides customizing your system to include the number of units you want, you can also choose the size of those units. It’s so cool!

I received a Crock-Pot® Hook Up® Connectable Entertaining System 3-Piece Set, which contains one each of the following:

• Crock-Pot® Hook Up® double oval 1-quart capacity slow cooker
• Crock-Pot® Hook Up® round 2-quart capacity slow cooker
• Crock-Pot® Hook Up® oval 3.5-quart capacity slow cooker

I’ve always felt that the Crock-Pot is the absolutely perfect kitchen appliance. They can be used year round. During cold weather there’s just no better way to make your favorite soups, stews, and chowders. In the heat of the summer you can make all sorts of thins in there without heating up the house on an already hot day.  The Crock-Pot® Hook Up™ Connectable Entertaining System makes use of the Crock-Pot you know and love, but adapted the design to make it perfect for entertaining.

The variety of sizes available for the Crock-Pot® Hook Up™ Connectable Entertaining System allow you to make a variety of dishes, or just different amounts of certain dishes. Having a lot of people over and want to make a lot of your favorite soup? Put out a couple of the large units. Having a party and want to create a buffet or sauces or toppings? Line up some of the smaller units. The Crock-Pots provide an easy way for you to offer tasty foods and keep them warm for the duration of your get together.

Having a cookout? We did last week. We did the burgers, steak and hot dogs outside. Inside, I used the Crock-Pot® Hook Up™ Connectable Entertaining System to make chocolate fudge, chocolate peanut butter fudge, chocolate peanut butter chip cake, and some chili cheese dip.

The sleek, modern looking bases stack in order to make storage easier. To be clear, stack does not mean the same thing as nest. Stack means you can simply stack one on top of another. Each base contains a power cord that pulls out when needed and retracts to store in the base when not in use. Those power cords either plug into a standard outlet or another Crock-Pot® Hook Up® unit. Each unit, no matter what the size, is designed with High, Low and Warm settings. The removable crocks are all made of durable, dishwasher-safe stoneware, and come with glass lids.
