I had a bunch of really ripe bananas that had to be used or thrown away. I wanted to make a cake with bananas for my Mom, since she loves them. But it was hot and I didn’t want to heat up the house. I decided to try making the cake in the crockpot. It was super easy to make and came out really well. Here’s how I made it.
Slowcooker Chocolate Swirl Banana Cake
- 4 ripe bananas
- 1x 18.25 oz box yellow cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- chocolate syrup (1 good sized squirt, estimating it’s about 1/4 cup)
Spray crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
Mash up the bananas.
Add in the cake mix, eggs and chocolate chips and mix well.
Pour cake mix into crockpot.
Squirt the chocolate syrup into a swirl on top of the cake mix.
Using a knife, gently swirl the knife through the cake mix.
Cook on high for 2 hours.
