Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt Review

Last year we were introduced to a product that my whole family really liked – Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce. We’ve used it on all sorts of meats and in a number of recipes and have always been thrilled with the resulting meals. It’s taste is unlike any other. Knowing the quality of the All Purpose Sauce, I accepted the opportunity to review another Country Bob’s product – Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt.

When cooking for guests with diet or health restrictions we cook fairly conservatively and don’t add salt. When cooking just for ourselves we often season and spice while cooking. We agree that seasoning while cooking as opposed to after gives the dish an entirely different flavor. RB loves to concoct. He’ll have anywhere from four to six different bottles of seasoning out at times. It’s pretty funny, he looks a bit like a mad scientist.

We received two bottles of Country Bob’s Seasoning Salt for this review. The colorful .8 ounce bottles come with a dispenser top the flips open on both sides – one side for light and quick seasoning and one side for measuring larger amounts. The seasoning salt itself doesn’t look anything like salt. The seasoning is a brownish blend of spices including salt, pepper, garlic, onion and paprika – most of the same things RB concocts with. The blend is really flavorful. We’ve used it to cook both chicken and beef on the grill, in the oven and on the stove. The flavor we got from using it on the meat is like a rub. We’ve also used it in soup and pasta and were extremely pleased.

Country Bob’s is manufactured in Centralia, IL. The company’s first product was their All Purpose Sauce, which they started selling in 1977. Their other products include All Purpose Sauce, Spicy All Purpose Sauce, BBQ Sauce and a Country Bob’s Cookbook. They offer corporate gift packages and fundraiser packages.
