ciao! baby The Portable High Chair

As a busy mom of six I was very excited to review the ciao! baby Portable High Chair. It is indeed a very portable high chair. The high hair is lightweight and folds up, in the same way that those portable chairs people bring to sporting events. The high chair comes in a nice carrying bag with a sturdy handle, which is great because you can carry it on your shoulder.

As soon as you take out the high chair out of the carrying bag it is very easy to set up. Make sure the two locks on either side are completely locked and you are set to put your baby in it. There is a very secure safety belt that locks behind the chair.

I loved how easy the chair was to clean up with just a wet sponge or wipe, there were no little crevices to get food stuck. There are also four screws to get the canvas seat completely off if you need to wash it,  if you do that I would definitely only air dry it. The tray has a nice clear plastic cover so food doesn’t get stuck in the material of the chair.

BG is 11 months old and on the go and seemed to really enjoy sitting in the highchair and having his snacks. Getting BG in and secure in the chair is very easy, and I feel at ease that he is safe. Getting BG out when he is all done is a little tough. BG is about 21 lbs.  I thought that the holes for the legs seemed to be a little on the small side as we had about 2 fingers worth of room to spare in the leg area. This chair is recommended for children under the age of 3 so my only concern would be how well a bigger baby might  fit.

I definitely recommend this chair to any family on the go or even a family that does not have a lot of space for a big bulky highchair. It would also work very well for travel, or to leave at a sitter or grandparent’s house if they watch a baby often.

This would be perfect to take for travel - when my daughter was a baby we took her to the beach. To put her down for a moment, we had to lay her on the towel which was no fun for her. With the ciao, she could have been sitting up looking at the water!

How cool! This is perfect for families who do a lot of traveling or camping or spending a lot of time out doors. I need to look into this for our little one.
