REVIEW – Big Fish Gummy Drop Match-3 Puzzle Game

Gummies are one of my favorite snacks. Not only are they tasty, but I just love the way they’re squishy and bouncy. They make me (and my belly) happy. I was delighted to find that one of my favorite snacks is the main focus of a new game. I have been a big fan of Big Fish for years. They make awesome games. This week they introduced their newest game, Big Fish Gummy Drop. Gummy Drop is a new Match-3 game.
Burst right into Sydney, Australia and begin your map-hopping Match-3 adventure! Solve Match-3 puzzles to earn the resources you NEED to put the world map back together. Each new puzzle will be more challenging than the last, replay levels to get additional resources, and show your friends whose best by overtaking their high scores.
Your main screen is a map. On the map you can see how many lives you have, where you are, where you’ve been and even if you’ve attained all of the goals for each area. In Gummy Drop you have different goals in the game. You can always see what your goals are by looking on the right side of the map.

When you start a board you see what your target goal is and any boosts you have that you can use.

When you begin a board you’ll see if it’s a straightforward Match-3 game board or if it’s got special tiles that you need to do certain things to. You will also see what items if any you need to collect. Then you play!

I know I said that Gummy Drop is a Match-3 game bit there’s a bit more to Gummy Drop then just matching 3 things. Gummy Drop is also a puzzle game where you also need to gather workers and bricks that are needed to build areas in the game.
 

Improving your own high score can also earn you special new tools and power boosts.

There’s even opportunities to earn rewards and extra lives throughout the game.
