REVIEW – Bauli Croissants And Mini Croissants

Imagine a croissant. I bet you’re thinking about how soft and yummy they can be. Now imagine a filled croissant, with just the right amount of sweetness inside that soft and flaky exterior. You’re probably thinking that you’d have to go to the bakery for such a croissant. Or, bake them yourself. I want to let you know that there is a third alternative. Get Bauli’s.

Originating in 1922, Bauli’s is a family business that makes authentic Italian desserts. Their specialty desserts include different varieties of panettone, pandoro di verona, and croissants. The croissants currently account for about half of the company’s production. Recently I tried some of the croissants.

Bauli’s croissants are available in three varieties – chocolate, vanilla custard, and cherry jelly. Their individually wrapped croissants are made with naturally leavened dough and oven baked. There’s no prep required. The croissants are ready to eat, so all you need to do is open up the package. Bauli’s also makes mini croissants, in chocolate and vanilla custard. The mini croissants come six to each individual package.

I tried each of the varieties. The croissants are moist and chewy and flavorful. I found that they went exceptionally well with a glass of cold milk. They also went well with coffee. Bauli’s croissants would be a great item to keep on hand for those moments where you want a little something sweet to snack on but don’t want to shop or bake. The mini croissants would be perfect for entertaining.
