I was on vacation from my full time job from Christmas Eve until yesterday. I had fun hanging out with my kids, watching them play, staying up late, watching movies and just relaxing. I stayed up really late a couple of times and slept past 6am every day. I let the kids stay up late too, although I started trying to move them back to their regular school night bedtime two nights ago.
When my alarm went off at 4 am yesterday morning I received my rude awakening that I had to go back to the daily grind, and was once again reminded how much I will enjoy retirement (in another 25 years).
My children’s rude awakening comes at 5:30 am Monday. I’m sure they’ll be as displeased as I was.

Oh wow, sooo early! I'm a total night person and would rather stay up until 3 am every day than get up at 6 or 7. :)

@Bethany - It's not bad once you get used to it. Getting out of a full day at work early in the afternoon is awesome!
