I am enthralled with egg roll wrappers. I go through spurts where I try to put all sorts of foods in there to see what I can come up with. One of the first things I ever tried putting in there was apple pie filling. The resulting egg rolls are sweet and tasty, and pair really well with a glass of cold milk. Here’s how I made them.
Apple Pie Egg Rolls
This recipe makes about 8 egg rolls.
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1 can apple pie filling
- apple pie spice
Preheat oven to 400 f.
Lay out the egg roll wrapper.
Place a very thin slice of cream cheese onto the middle of the egg roll wrapper.
Place a generous spoonful of the apple pie mixture on top of the cream cheese.
You need to fold the egg roll. There are several ways to do it, so do whichever works best for you or the one on the package.
Place a little bit of vegetable oil onto the top of the egg roll using either a brush or your finger.
Sprinkle the apple pie spice onto the egg rolls.
Sprinkle a little sugar onto the egg rolls.
Bake for 11-12 minutes, until the egg roll is golden.
