I went to my first car show many years ago. It was a small local show for classic used cars. My Dad and I were driving past and stopped to check it out after we saw the sign on the side of the road. Since then I’ve been to other car shows and have always enjoyed them. In recent years I’ve attended some of the big new car shows, both in Detroit and New York City. 2017 was my first time attending the New York International Auto Show. I asked my Dad to join me for his first visit to that show last April and we had an awesome father-daughter night out. Here it is a year later and I am so happy to say Dad and I will be heading into the city for the New York International Auto Show once again.
The 2018 New York International Auto Show takes place at the Jacob K. Javits Center in NYC from Friday, March 30th through Sunday, April 8th. It doesn’t matter if you like to drive, passenger or just get out of the house, NYIAS is a great day out for anyone.
If you are shopping for a car there is no better place to start than NYIAS. This is the only place you will find all of the new models from all of the top manufacturers right in one place. Representatives are on the floor ready and able to answer any questions you may have about a model you’re considering for purchase. And best of all, these folks are happy to talk to you with no pressure at all.If you’re a car affecionado you will love the ability to see all of the latest new models with the hottest tech. Take Mazda, for example.
Last year the Mazda exhibit immediately grabbed my attention. The Mazda Miata is car that I have always wanted to try driving since it first came out so many years ago. Seeing the sassy MX5 sitting there on the floor close enough for me to touch made me want to hop in and drive it right then and there. I’m looking forward to seeing what they are announcing this year. Hopefully I’ll be able to resist the urge to jump in and drive again!

I love to go to auto shows. Sure it's mostly to dream but that's still fun. We need to purchase a car for my husband soon, so it would give reason to attend a show.
