I am to receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Thomas Land. I have not received any compensation for this post. Please note that, as always, any personal opinions reflected in this post are my own.
My youngest son has loved Thomas the Tank Engine since the first time he set eyes on him. We have at least one copy of every single DVD that’s been made. We have every Take-n-Play playset that I have ever seen available for sale. And the trains. We have them all in every variation that I’ve come across. We even have all of the mini trains. We have Thomas sheets and curtains. Noone can ever question my son’s love for Thomas.
Thomas fans that live in or have traveled to England and/or Japan know that there are Thomas Land amusement parks located there. I can only imagine what my son’s reaction to a visit to an amusement park dedicated to Thomas would be like. I daresay his head might nearly pop off. As it turns out, I won’t have to imagine what the reaction would be for much longer. Next weekend I will be taking my son and nephew to the Thomas Land amusement park. No, we aren’t traveling to England or Japan. We’ll be right here, stateside, in good old Massachusetts. We’ll be at Thomas Land in Edaville USA.
That’s right, I did say there is a Thomas Land in the US. It’s in Carver, Massachusetts. It’s actually a part of a larger place called Edaville. Edaville is a 250 acre family amusement center that has been delighting families for over 70 years now. Thomas Land itself spans 11.5 acres and boasts 11 rides based on Thomas & Friends and the Island of Sodor.

All of the rides and attractions feature favorite characters from Thomas & Friends including Thomas, Percy, Diesel, Toby, Cranky the Crane, Harold the Helicopter, and more. Guests can visit familiar destinations around the Island of Sodor like Tidmouth Sheds, Knapford Station, and Brendam Docks. Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway on the Island of Sodor, will be on site to greet and take photos with guests. The attractions at Thomas Land feature a 20-minute long scenic train ride on a life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine™ replica, and theme park favorites including a roller coaster, drop tower, Ferris wheel and much more.
Here’s a video from 2015 that goes behind the scenes of Thomas Land.
Here’s another showing some of the rides.
And here is the promo announcing the opening of this year’s 2017 season.
Be sure to stay tuned. My son has no idea that we are going to Thomas Land. I cannot wait to see his reaction, and share it with you, along with my own thoughts on the experience as well as pictures. I am going to hazard a guess that my son will enjoy each and every attraction. He’s ridden a train before and he’s met Sir Topham Hatt before, so I know those things will leave him smiling. I’m looking forward to watching him enjoy the rides and learning which is his favorite.
You can learn more abut Thomas Land on the Edaville website. You can keep up with all of the Thomas Land and Edaville news on social media, on Facebook.

This sounds like a great memory-maker for those with kids that love Thomas! My boys have outgrown Thomas, but they would have loved this a few years ago!

My son would absolutely love this! He loves everything about trains and he especially loves Thomas! I wish they had something similar here in Norway.
