REVIEW – Oco Wi-Fi Video Monitoring Camera

Do you ever wonder what goes on in your home when you are not there? I know I do! There are so many different products on the market today. To be honest, a lot of them seem so overwhelming for me. I’m not really a tech savvy girl. I leave all that stuff to hubby. Sure, I can navigate my ipad or computer, but not much more than that! Oco is a home monitoring camera. Here is the best part(for me anyway)- it is SUPER SIMPLE to use and set-up!

With the warmer weather finally here, my little guy and I love to spend our time outside the house. Finding different parks, riding bikes, and playing sports. Sometimes our dog Charlie joins us, but most of the time he’s home….alone. My dog dislikes being alone. I often wonder what he does while we are gone. Now I don’t have to wonder. With the Oco camera I am able to watch my pup right on my phone while I am away from the house!

The Oco camera is really easy to use. Even I could set it up! When they say plug and play they are not kidding! All you need is Wifi and an outlet! If you are unsure how to do so, there is a helpful video on the website. Once I had my Oco camera plugged in I downloaded the Ivideon app on my cell phone. The app works on apple and droid devices. The app will ask for your Wifi password and then a qr code will appear on the screen. Show Oco your QR code and Oco is ready to go.

I decided to put my Oco camera in my room for now. That is the other great part. With Oco being super simple, it is easy to move! I suspect my pup spent most of his alone time in my bedroom which is why I decided to put it in there…..and I was right! I have one lazy dog! I watch him hop right onto my bed and nap the entire time! The Oco camera app will send me notifications when sound or motion is detected.

Another great feature is the two way push to talk. With the push of a button I can let Charlie know when he is doing something he shouldn’t be doing! My little guy also like to say hi to our pup while we are gone! (how cute!)

The wide angle camera allows me to see more of what is going on. Oco even has infrared night vision. The camera picture is really clear, even in total darkness. The ivideon app allows me to give access to our security camera to whom I choose. So hubby and I both have it on our cell phones. He spends a lot of time away from us so a security camera is something he has talked about for a while! I normally do not like things all over my house. The Oco camera is small and sleek looking, it does not bother me at all!

The Oco also offers a cloud service. This means that Oco will record your footage, and save it in the cloud. Your footage is accessible for up to 30 days. There are other plans that will store it for 7 days. If you buy an Oco camera through June 13, you get the basic plan for a year free! This stores your footage for 1 day, and will store 1 hour clips.

I love having peace of mind. My Oco camera has since moved to the playroom. When we are home, our little guy loves spending his time in there. Oco also me to check in on my son, making sure everything is okay, from anywhere. Weather you want to monitor you home or office, I think Oco is truly something worth buying. Oco will run you about $150, which is very reasonable to me.
