My oldest loves garlic bread. I do too. Between the two of us there have been times where between the two of us we could devour a whole garlic bread together. We both really enjoy cheesy garlic bread and I make it often. I decided to surprise him one night and add some bacon to the equation. He was very pleased to say the least. Here’s how I made it.
BACON CHEESE STUFFED GARLIC BREAD
INGREDIENTS
- 1x 8oz mini French boule
- 6-8 tbsp garlic infused olive oil (I used Garlic Gold)
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2-4 slices cheddar cheese
- 2-4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded bacon
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 f.
Slice the bread horizontally (left to right) 3-4 times depending on the width of the bread. Do not slice all the way through. Then, slice the bread vertically (top to bottom) in order to create squares, which for me was about 16 cuts. Again, do not slice all the way through.
Soften your butter in the microwave. Soften it to the point where it’s almost liquid. Add in the parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, garlic salt and olive oil and stir well. Spoon the butter mixture across the top of the bread. Also, help channel the mixture into the cracks with the spoon.
Using a butter knife to help “hold” the cracks in the bread slightly open, place the cheese into all of the cracks.
Cover in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover the top of the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve immediately.

This recipe is so unique and the thick bread is amazing. We order cheesy bread from a local restaurant, but this recipe is sooooooo much better than what we typically have. I love the generous cheese.
