Latta Russian Kefir Yogurt Cups

Back in the 70’s some of the best television commercials focused on life expectancy in Georgia, USSR. The ads claimed yogurt built healthy digestive balance and strong immune systems. Scientists may have never proven Russian longevity; however, they encourage a wholesome, natural nutritious diet built around staples like yogurt.

Recently I was sent some remarkable Latta Russian Kefir products – yogurt cups and kefir green tea – with no artificial colors, additives, thickeners, or preservatives. These were not mass produced products. Derived from no-dairy organic or real rBst/BHT free milk, each contains very little fat and a dozen or more essential probiotics to help your digestive and immune systems.

The artisan Latta Russian Kefir Yogurt Cups is fabulous and quickly became the goto. Varieties abound. Have it your way plain or choose instead from tasty vanilla, strawberry, peach, coffee, blue berry, and black cherry. Eat it by itself, have it a snack or light meal, or use it instead of sour cream to build better soup, dressing, sauce, dip, baked goods, dessert, and smoothie recipes.

Latta Kefir Green Tea

I have to admit though that Latta Non-Dairy Kefir Green Tea came in a close second. Available in lemon, ginger, and spearmint varieties, 100% natural Latta Kefir Green Tea is a drink to your health. At 50 calories per 7 ounce serving, its green tea/ apple juice base and raw sugar ingredients, live and active probiotic cultures are good for the tummy. This USDA organic, dairy free, lactose free, gluten free, soy free, vegan drink goes down smooth, sweet, and healthy.

Here’s a short video on how Latta Russian Kefir products are made.

I've never heard of this or tried substituting yogurt for sour cream before. It's something I'll have to try if it's a healthier switch.
