Glutino Gluten-Free 3 Cheese Pizza

The local ShopRite expanded their selection of gluten-free products again. Plus, some of it was on sale this week. One of CJ’s favorite foods is pizza, he truly loves it. Since I had a frozen pizza in the freezer for TJ I decided to buy one of these.

Glutino Gluten-Free 3 Cheese Pizza has a brown rice crust. It is a product of Canada, made in a dedicated gluten-free facility. One box contains a single 6.2 ounce pizza, which is one serving of 450 calories. There is 16 grams of protein, 30 mg of cholesterol and 15 grams of total fat. The staggering number is the sodium. One serving has a whopping 1070 mg of sodium, which is almost half of the recommended daily value.

The pizza comes sealed in a plastic bag. It keeps the pizza in the bag instead of all over the box, plus it keeps your food a little safer.

After you unwrap the pizza there is no work involved in preparing it other than cooking it. The instructions call for baking for 12-15 minutes at 425 F.

Before baking I thought that the amount of cheese and sauce seemed a little sparse. I baked it for 12 minutes and our edges were overdone and starting to burn. Upon slicing and tasting we definitely thought the pizza needed more sauce. It was waaaaaaaaaay to dry.I recommend if you make this pizza you add some sauce to it.

CJ doesn’t have a lot of pizza options right now so I’ll buy this when it’s on sale for the time being.
