MY THOUGHTS

I received a copy of Beast Friends Forever: The Super Swap-O-Surprise. This is the second book in the series and I hadn’t read the first so I wasnt sure how someone new to the characters would settle in. Fortunately, there are a couple of pages placed before Chapter 1 that explain and catch a new reader up. Fun black and white drawings are scattered throughout the book. Basically, Zeke and Hannah received a package from their father, who’s in the Navy. The package contained the beast Otto, who is a friendly magical beast that can swap one item for another when he says “hoobah”. The kids swap items for fun, and to manage the bully named Sid the Squid. I believe that reading is fun and educational, and wish that all children enjoyed reading as much as I did growing up and still do now. The book is a short and easy read. It’s written using words that children of that age use and find amusing, such as fart, poop and booger – ensuring you that your young reader will be giggling through this book and future additions to the series.
