Menu Ideas Monday – Slowcooker Chocolate Swirl Banana Cake #Recipe

We'd love it if you shared it!

Slowcooker Chocolate Swirl Banana Cake recipe

I had a bunch of really ripe bananas that had to be used or thrown away. I wanted to make a cake with bananas for my Mom, since she loves them. But it was hot and I didn’t want to heat up the house. I decided to try making the cake in the crockpot. It was super easy to make and came out really well. Here’s how I made it.

Slowcooker Chocolate Swirl Banana Cake

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1x 18.25 oz box yellow cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • chocolate syrup (1 good sized squirt, estimating it’s about 1/4 cup)

INSTRUCTIONS

Spray crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.

Mash up the bananas.

Add in the cake mix, eggs and chocolate chips and mix well.

Pour cake mix  into crockpot.

What’s your favorite slowcooker dessert? What is it? I’d really like to know, please leave a comment!

Never tried any slow cooker desserts before now. Like the way it won't heat the house on hot, hot days.

That looks really delicious. The only crockpot dessert I think I have made is a flan.
