2011 HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE – RedEnvelope

We'd love it if you shared it!

I shopped RedEnvelope last year around Valentine’s Day. I had a personalized gift made for a friend that they absolutely love and used almost daily until they dropped it (at which point they cried). This year I was offered the opportunity to shop RedEnvelope once again, this time for the Christmas holiday season.

ABOUT REDENVELOPE

Launched in 1999, our mission remains to make gift giving for every occasion easy and fun.

The name RedEnvelope comes from a firmly held belief in Asian cultures that the color red is an auspicious symbol of happiness. Gifts are often presented in a simple red envelope – a timeless tradition that carries with it well wishes of prosperity, good fortune, appreciation and love.

From tokens of gratitude to expressions of love, as your partner in giving, RedEnvelope offers a unique and wide-ranging collection of thoughtful gifts for every occasion and everyone on your list — around the clock, all year round.

We only select quality products — many of which are exclusive to RedEnvelope — that are unusual, surprising and beautifully designed to ensure the gifts you give create a special moment when they are opened — whether it’s a knowing smile, heartfelt laughter, or a sentimental tear or two.

RedEnvelope is part of the Provide Commerce portfolio of high-quality gifting brands. Other Provide Commerce holdings include Proflowers, Cherry Moon Farms, Secret Spoon and Shari’s Berries.

MY THOUGHTS

I received a gift certificate to use to shop at RedEnvelope. With money being tight, I started out with the idea that I’ be doing some Christmas shopping for family and/or friends. RedEnvelope offers lots of great gift ideas, including a good number of products that can be personalized. As I browsed I found a couple of things that I thought were absolutely adorable. In fact, I liked them so much that I bought them for myself. Early Christmas presents to me as it were. 🙂

RedEnvelope Personalized Pie Dish review

Personalized Pie Dish – price $39.95

Mainstay of year-round celebrations, culinary cornerstone of American self-identity, the once-humble pie is finally receiving its due. Our fluted red ceramic pie dish is personalized so that there’s no mistaking who was responsible for that extra-flaky crust at this week’s potluck. Exclusively from RedEnvelope.

  • made of high-quality ceramic
  • red exterior, ivory interior
  • fluted rim
  • may be personalized with 1 line up to 20 characters
  • choose block or script font
  • personalization is sandblasted
  • 9 1/2″ pie dish
  • 10 1/4″ diameter x 2 3/4″H

The products were easy to personalize. For the casserole dish, you can have two lines of text (top line 7 characters, bottom line 25 characters) and a choice of two fonts. For the pie dish you can have one line of text with up to 20 characters and a choice of two fonts. Both of the products are only available in red, not my favorite color but a fitting choice for holiday gift giving. The products arrived and looked just like the ones in the picture, which is what you want when shopping online.  The quality of both items is terrific, They’re well made and the lettering is actually sandblasted into the cookware, so it won’t wear or flake off like paint can. The casserole looks so nice that you could even find a place for it on a shelf or the counter to incorporate as part of your decor. The only thing that would make the personalization process even better is if there was a preview available on site before placing your order.

Other personalizable kitchen and cooking items available from RedEnvelope include a serving dish, snack bowls, coffee cups and mugs. RedEnvelope has many other products that would make great holiday gifts including items related to decorating, entertaining, travel, apparel, accessories, jewelry, baby, gadgets and much, much more. There’s something for everyone, and a wide range of pricing to suit every budget. Christmas is less then a month away. There’s still time to shop and have delivery before Christmas!

I love your new casserole dish. I am hoping that we will see some action from this dish on From Val's Kitchen.
