I just love being able to put a bunch of things in a crockpot and have them cook and
INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/2 cups Minute Rice
- 8 oz sour cream & onion dressing
- 1x 1 oz packet ranch dressing mix
- 1x 10 3/4 oz can cream of chicken soup
- 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into chunks
INSTRUCTIONS
Spray crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
Place rice in bottom of crockpot.
Place uncooked chicken pieces over the rice.

In a bowl combine the can of cream of chicken soup, the packet of ranch dressing mix and the sour cream and onion dressing. Stir well.
Pour contents of bowl over the chicken and rice.

Cover. Cook on high for 3 1/2 – 4 hours.
Serve and enjoy.

Do you put the cheddar cheese on top of the mix? -- Also, can you stir everything occasionally or just let it all cook like that and stir it when its finished?

Do you cook the rice before hand or does it soften itself in the crockpot? -- Also, do you occasionally stir the entire mix in the crockpot or not til it's finished?

Katie, the rice cooks in the crockpot. use Minute Rice. I did stir once about half way through.

Is the sour cream and onion dressing a salad dressing or a container of sour cream and onion? and is the cheese mixed in with the soup mixture or sprinkled on top?

The sour cream and onion dressing I used is a container made by Axelrod. I have also done this using a container of regular sour cream and one packet of onion soup mix.
