MY THOUGHTS
I received a copy of Gifts From The Kitchen. Homemade gifts are popular because they can be economical, but I think the biggest reason they’re popular is because they’re made at home, meaning they’re personal and have had thought and time put into them. Going far past cookies, this book offers recipes and instructions for making all sorts of tasty treats including spreads, beverages, breads, and of course cookies. The recipes are well written and easy to follow. Many include a colorful photo. I like that many of the items include gift giving tips, such as how to store them and how long each item will keep. Holidays are a busy time, so it would have been helpful to me if prep and cooking times had been included. This cookbook would be a great holiday gift to anyone that enjoys cooking, or a good purchase for yourself if you like to make and give homemade treats.
