My youngest loves to use the iPad. I like him to have fun, but I really appreciate apps that help him learn while having fun. Recently the folks at Storypanda developed an interactive storybook app featuring some of the VeggieTales characters. The app looks great, the feature that I like the most is that children can use the app independently, or with help. Plus, they can even change the story up! I think my nephew is really going to enjoy it. Here’s some info on the app, plus a giveaway.

Bob and Larry’s ABC’s is the first in the Veggiecational series to be published digitally by Storypanda. It is the official VeggieTales interactive story book that will help young children learn their ABCs. It’s Veggiecational!
It’s important to know our ABCs – luckily we have Bob and Larry to help us learn everything from A to Z! Our favorite VeggieTales characters guide us along through the alphabet while Larry the cucumber narrates the whole adventure.
Featuring animations, sounds and 3-D effects the app is a fully interactive and educational experience. Fun 3-D animation appears when kids tilt and rotate the iPad side to side. Kids can tap on each letter to have them read aloud. Touching characters makes them jump, bob and float.

READ
A full interactive experience with animations, sounds and 3-D effects. Kids and parents can read, create and share this story together to create a unique family bonding experience. Tap on each letter to have it read aloud. Kids can repeat the letter and learn different words that start with this letter. Kids can also choose Read To Me to have Larry help children through voice-over narration.
CREATE
Kids can change the letters to different fonts to reinforce sight and sound associations, and how to draw out letters when they begin to write. Kids can type in their own words and sentences to help stimulate their imagination as they learn the alphabet. In Create Mode, kids can change the letters to different fonts to reinforce how to draw out letters when they begin to write. Also in create mode kids can type in their own story to help stimulate their imaginations as they learn the alphabet.
SHARE
After, parents can share their family creations through email, Facebook and Twitter so friends and family all around the world can learn along with you.
