We love coffee. A lot. Year round. In the summer hubby really prefers iced coffee. We recently tried International Delight’s Iced Coffee for the first time. It’s super nice and cool on a hot day, like the ones we’ve had this week. The flavor is smooth and creamy, and I thought it would be fun to use the Iced Coffee in a recipe. I made a yummy shake, but it just wasn’t what I was looking for. I love most carbs, and found myself thinking about what carb I could eat for breakfast. That’s when it hit me. International Delight Iced Coffee would probably be good in french toast. I made a batch, and was very happy with the results. It was quick and super easy to make, and tasted yummy. This french toast was a great blend of the smooth flavor of the iced coffee with french toast. Check it out.
Iced Coffee French Toast
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of International Delight Iced Coffee
- 2 pieces of bread
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- whipped cream
Instructions
Place egg in bowl and whisk.
Pour in 1/3 cup International Delight Vanilla Iced Coffee.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Whisk well.
Place slice of bread into the mix.
If using a shallow bowl only one side of bread will be submerged, let it sit for about 30 seconds.
Then turn the bread over and let the other side sit for 30 seconds or so.
Place the soaked bread into the frying pan.
Fry until both sides of the bread are cooked and golden brown, about 2-3 minutes total.
If serving with syrup pour the syrup onto the french toast.
Place a dollop of whipped cream on top.
Serve.
