Hop aboard for fun on Sodor as the engines find out that there is always something new to learn! While Thomas and Duck learn how to steam ahead together with a special delivery, Luke and Millie find out what it’s like to drive in each other’s tracks – literally! Percy steams straight into a lucky encounter with Bill and Ben, Caitlin gets a lesson in how things are done and Paxton works hard to recover Thomas’ lost puff. With so much activity on Sodor, it’s always important to steam ahead and remember that the best way is the Thomas Way!

MY THOUGHTS

This was an especially fun DVD for me to watch with my son as I hadn’t seen all of these episodes. All of the episodes are CGI. The Thomas Way is a story of how Thomas wants to have fun and do things his way instead of getting his work done, which of course leads to some further problems. The Switch is the story of Luke and Millie trading places and doing each other jobs, and realizing not everything is always what it appears to be. Percy’s Lucky Day is the story of Percy, who after a very bad day believes he has had bad luck and needs some good luck, which all made me chuckle because it reminded me of how some people have good luck charms and believe in rituals and superstitions. Calm Down Caitlin is the story of how Caitlin spends a night on Sodor, and she is so excited that she is noisy and causes lots of trouble. The fifth, The Lost Puff, was my favorite. Thomas loses his steam and Paxton tries to find ways to get him more, not realizing that steam will return once Thomas’ wet firebox dries. All of these episodes feature tales about friendship, teamwork, cooperation and listening.
