“Be a knight, do it right!” is the rallying cry of Mike, a young boy who learns the power of responsibility and the importance of doing things the right way with some help from his Big Book for Knights in training and his close friends and sister, Evie.

Mike the Knight: Knight in Training features five adventure-filled episodes: Scary Dragons, Evie’s Birthday Present, Fluttering Favour, Trollee’s Sleepover, and Mission Home. The DVD also includes the following bonus features: Glendragon Matching Game, Meet Mike’s Friends! Music Videos, and Mike the Knight Theme Song.

Mike the Knight is engaging for young viewers and the dynamic between Mike and his friends is adorable and comedic. When the characters interact well together, the more entertaining for the child. I also appreciate that this series touches on a subject not many other shows for this age range do: responsibility. The importance of teaching toddlers and preschoolers responsibility is crucial, and Mike does so in a fun and engaging way.
