Mozaik Plastic Partyware Review And Giveaway

We'd love it if you shared it!

I enjoy hosting. I have cooked dinner on Easter and Thanksgiving for my family for years. The one downfall to hosting large dinners is the dishes. It isn’t that they’re hard to do, it’s just that they take a LOOOOOOOOONG time – usually about three loads in the dishwasher and about thirty minutes of washing pots and pans by hand. Basically the dishes take almost two days to get finished. I accepted an opportunity to review Mozaik plastic partyware out of curiousity, as I was planning Thanksgiving dinner and already thinking about the dishes.

ABOUT MOZAIK

Mozaik is the perfect solution for those occasions when you don’t have enough dinner ware. For under $10, Mozaik’s new Service for Eight kit will help you stop scrambling for extra place settings when your guest list is larger than your china and flatware collection. The 40-piece “party in a box” adds eight place settings (forks, knives and spoons, salad plates and dinner plates) and is great for every holiday gathering from a small cocktail party to a large holiday buffet.

Designed to look like real permanent ware, Mozaïk is actually plastic party ware that can be washed and reused, or simply disposed of. It provides a fashionable, affordable alternative to paper plates and fine china. Available in both Classic and Contemporary styles, Mozaïk products range from round and square plates, to silver-look cutlery and serving items to mini appetizer ware, creating a nicer impression at any occasion.

I received my Mozaik pack which included Mozaik’s new Service for 8 kit (full 40 piece set), serving utensils, platter and bowl. I decided to hold on to the entire pack until thanksgiving, when we could really put them to the test.

Mozaik Packaging

Thanksgiving arrived. When it was time to set the table I found that Mozaik dishes look simple and elegant, like real dishes.

Mozaik Plate

As we all know, looks aren’t everything. The question really was, how would they hold up during a holiday meal? Would they break? To the touch they felt very sturdy, far more sturdy than paper, styrofoam and regular plastic. But there was only one way to find out for sure.

Mozaik Platter Of Turkey

The serving platter was a trooper under the weight of my 22 pound bird. The dinner plates handled our Thanksgiving feast of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, applesauce, cranberry sauce and garlic bread with ease. Not a single dish bent or broke. We ll sort of expected the plastic utensils to break, and were rather surprised when they did not. When the tie came to clear the table I started throwing the plates away. My Mom was horrified and stopped me, telling me I should wash them and reuse them because they were so nice. To make her happy I did wash the rest of the plates, something I was very glad for over the weekend when we celebrated my son’s birthday and reused them. They held up just as well under pizza and birthday cake as they had a few days before. Mozaik definitely made entertaining a lot easier for me, and saved me a lot of time. I can totally understand why there was a Designing Spaces feature on Mozaik in November, it really is an affordable and stylish product that’s perfect for any type of entertaining.

Mozaik is available for purchase in select stores nationwide and online.
