Work Anywhere And #GetItDone With Microsoft Office 365 – With 1 Year Subscription #Giveaway

We'd love it if you shared it!

I participated in the Microsoft Office 365 campaign on behalf of One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.

I have been using computers for a long time. I remember back in the day, when my family had our first computer, a Mac. Everything had to be saved on a big floppy disc. If you wanted to work on a document you had to wait until you got home to do so. Time went by and technology improved. First, floppy discs got smaller. Then, other forms of media were introduced, such as zip disks. They worked in the same way as floppies but held more data. It was about that time that I started to use Microsoft Office.

Technology continued to improve. Next we used CDs. They could hold a decent amount of data, but could be tricky to work with. CDs made on a Mac didn’t always work on a PC and vice versa. CD+RW and CD-RW were different things, so even if you had two computers with a CD drive you still might not be able to access the files on the CD. This happened to me a lot. Plus, if you wanted to work on an Office document, you had to be sure that the computer you were using the CD in had Office. In terms of data storage, I was happy to see CDs go.

It wasn’t long before we found ourselves in the age of the flash drive. Flash drives were great because they were really small and portable, and they held a lot of info. Flash drives were not so great because they were really small and portable. That’s right, the same thing made them good and bad. What do I mean? Simple. Flash drives are small, which makes them convenient, but they also very easy to lose or forget. If you’re anything like me, I bet you can remember a time when you needed a flash drive and had either forgotten it or misplaced it. Plus, to work on your Office documents, just like in the days of the CD, the second computer had to have Office installed.

Fortunately for people that find themselves on the go and needing to access their files, Microsoft Office 365 has arrived. Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium includes the Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access.  One license permits for usage on up to 5 different computers as well as 5 mobile devices.   Also included is 20GB of SkyDrive cloud storage, and 60 free Skype world calling minutes per month.

Microsoft Office 365

Gone are the issues that I faced over the years. If you want to work on a document on a computer other then your own you no longer need to worry if it has Office or not. Wondering why that is? It’s simple. Microsoft Office 365 is cloud-based. Your account includes 20GB of SkyDrive cloud storage. All the work you do is stored in the cloud, which means you can access those documents anywhere that you have an internet connection. There’s no doubt that Office 365 is by far the most versatile and flexible version of Office yet. Not only can you access your files and work on them from any computer with an internet connection, you can even access and edit them from your cell phone! It’s very convenient and a huge time saver!

Microsoft Office 365 can be purchased from Microsoft for $9.99 per month or $99 per year.

Here’s a very short (under a minute) video on how it works.

Here are five tips on how to #GetItDone with Microsoft Office 365.

  • Save documents in the cloud. From home, school, work and everywhere in between, it’s important to have tools that work the way you do. Office 365 lets you save your documents in the cloud on SkyDrive so no matter where you are, your information and ideas are available on your terms.
  • Take digital notes. OneNote is a digital note-taking app designed to keep you organized. Use it at home, school or work for recipe collecting, class notes, projects and more. Not only is OneNote part of Office 365, but it also comes as a free app for Windows Phone, iPhone, iPad and Android. Capture thoughts, ideas and to-dos in one place with OneNote, then access them across your devices via SkyDrive.
  • Use Office on your phone. Get stuff done on the go with Office on your Windows Phone, iPhone or Android phone. Access, view, edit, and share Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents by simply downloading Office Mobile on your phone and logging in with your Office 365 account.
  • Collaborate with anyone. Office Web Apps are free, touch-friendly web versions of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OneNote. Share and simultaneously work on documents with classmates, friends, and co-workers from any browser. All you have to do is sign up for a SkyDrive account to start creating documents.
  • Have Office on five devices. You and your family work on more than one device and so does Office 365 Home Premium. With one subscription you can put Office on up to five PCs or Macs and five phones (iPhone or Android).
